Last Year, You Said…

Checking in. It’s the last day of January- how are those New Year Goals?

The month seemed to last forever and while I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, the changes I made were solid gold.  We’re not looking back.

I had a lot of things I wanted to start and a lot more I needed to stop… I ended my personal and needless shopping sprees, didn’t buy breakfast before work, no liquor (except for that one time), committed to a workout routine, oh- and last but not least, I am no longer eating beef, pork, or chicken so now a pescatarian.

What makes me most proud of January with all of the no’s and the added yes factors, is I actually started to use the things I’d already purchased.  You have to see my candle collection to understand… however, I made one slip up and I’m glad I did— I bought more loose leaf tea!  The Moroccan Mint tea from New Secrets Tea (and you can save 10% with that link) is absolutely amazing and before I get to all of that, know that green tea is extremely healthy (no need to add sugar), but the benefits make this a great choice for someone who is looking for a no sugar alternative to juice or sodas.

When a friend recommend this loose leaf brand, I unashamedly entered in my memorized debit card information and within a few days this tea was at my front door and I was sipping away.

What do you need for the Perfect Cup:

  1. A Great French Press
  2. Loose Leaf Tea
  3. Honey (optional)
  4. Your favorite Tea Cup

It’s as simple as that.  Boil your water, add your loose leaf tea to your French press, add hot water to French press, plunge, let tea steep for a few minutes and enjoy!

Keep it fresh this year and continue committing to your 2018 goals. If January didn’t set the pace for you, don’t fret— 11 out of 12 is still really amazing.  In the meantime, “Alexa, set an alarm for 4:30 am.”

Bon Appétit!
